The best use of your “Windshield” time.

Do you have a block of time that you listen to the radio or CDs because the activity you are doing doesn’t require your total focus? I do, so I have switched from listening exclusively to music to listening to sessions I have recorded over the last 15 years that I always meant to hear. I love the MP3 technology because I can put 12+ hours on a single CD, put it in my cheapo CD/MP3 walkman, plug my cassette adapter into my outdated radio/tape player in my truck and listen for hours without having to change disks. The method I am using is to listen to a single disk 5 times so I can try to internalize the ideas that will make a difference in my life. I am now listening to great ideas (yea, and some not so great) 40+ hours a week. I have been doing this for the past six weeks and I have discovered a couple of amazing results.

First, I am connecting ideas from different speakers.

Second, the ideas are acting as a “foliar feeding” to my brain... want to increase your creativity? the first step is to bombard yourself with ideas.

I can hardly wait for this growing season to start.
